These terms explain the rules that apply when you browse Bichon Boutique, create an account or place an order. They should be read together with our Shipping, Refund and Privacy Policies.

This website is operated by Bichon Boutique, a Canadian small business based in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Throughout these Terms of Service, “Bichon Boutique,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Bichon Boutique. “You” and “your” refer to the person using our website or purchasing from us.
By using bichonboutique.com, creating an account or submitting an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies linked within them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable consumer-protection law.
Using our website
You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- use the website in a way that violates applicable law or another person’s rights;
- submit false, misleading, fraudulent or unauthorized information;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, another customer’s account or related systems;
- introduce malicious code, interfere with the website’s operation or attempt to bypass its security features;
- scrape, copy or commercially exploit website content without our written permission; or
- use our products or services for an unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, Bichon Boutique, our service providers or the security of the website.
Accounts and customer information
To create an account or place an order, you must be the age of majority in your province or territory, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for providing accurate, current and complete information at checkout and for keeping your account information up to date. You are also responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials and for activity that occurs through your account.

Products, sizing and pet care
We work to describe and photograph our products accurately. Colours, textures, dimensions and packaging may appear slightly different depending on the product batch, manufacturer, screen or device. Handmade and natural products may also have reasonable variations.
Product measurements and size charts are guides. Because pets vary in shape and proportions, please measure your pet and review the applicable product information before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us before purchasing and we will be happy to help.
Product descriptions and general information on our website are not veterinary advice. Follow all manufacturer directions, ingredient information, age or weight guidance and warnings supplied with a product. Choose products appropriate for your pet and supervise their use, particularly with toys, chews, apparel, carriers and feeding accessories. Inspect items regularly and discontinue use if they become damaged or present a hazard.
For treats, food and ingestible products, review the ingredients and feeding directions before use, particularly if your pet has an allergy, sensitivity or medical condition. Consult a veterinarian when you have questions about your pet’s health, diet or suitability for a product. Pet products sold through our store are not intended for human consumption unless expressly stated.
Prices, currency and taxes
Unless otherwise stated, prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes, shipping charges and available discounts are calculated or displayed during checkout.
We may change prices and promotions prospectively without notice. A price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted. If a pricing or product-information error affects an order before fulfilment, we will contact you with the available options or cancel the affected item and issue the applicable refund.
Orders and payment
When you place an order, you confirm that the order information is accurate, that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and that you agree to pay the total shown at checkout.
An order confirmation acknowledges that we received your order. We may need to decline or cancel all or part of an order before fulfilment because of unavailable inventory, a material pricing or listing error, suspected fraud, payment authorization issues, shipping restrictions or an unreasonable quantity that appears intended for unauthorized resale. If we cancel an item after payment has been collected, we will refund the applicable amount to the original payment method.
Payments are processed through Shopify and the payment providers offered at checkout. Use of an accelerated checkout, instalment service or other third-party payment option may also be subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.
Shipping and delivery
We currently ship to Canadian addresses and offer local delivery to eligible British Columbia addresses. Processing times, shipping options, the free-shipping threshold, tracking information and delivery guidance are described in our Shipping Policy.
Please review your address and delivery information before submitting an order. Carrier delivery dates are estimates, and events outside our reasonable control may cause delays. These terms do not limit any cancellation or refund right that applies when an online order is not delivered within a period required by law.
Returns, exchanges and refunds
Eligibility, time limits, product-condition requirements, exclusions and instructions for requesting a return, exchange or refund are set out in our Refund Policy.
If an order arrives damaged or contains the wrong item, keep the item and packaging and contact us promptly with your order number and clear photos so we can review the issue.
Promotions and discount codes
Promotions and discount codes are subject to the conditions displayed with the offer, including eligibility, dates, product exclusions and minimum purchase requirements. Unless an offer expressly says otherwise:
- discounts cannot be combined;
- a code must be entered before checkout is completed;
- offers have no cash value and cannot be applied to a previous purchase; and
- returns may reduce or remove a discount if the remaining order no longer meets the offer requirements.
We may correct or cancel a promotion affected by a material error, misuse or fraud. This does not affect an order already accepted unless we contact you and provide an appropriate remedy.
Bichon Boutique Rewards
Our Bichon Boutique Rewards Program is free to join. Current earning and redemption information is displayed on our Rewards page and in the rewards widget.
Bichon Bucks are promotional loyalty points, are not money and cannot be redeemed for cash. Unless expressly stated otherwise, points, rewards and accounts cannot be transferred, sold or combined, and a rewards code cannot be combined with another discount code. Customers must be signed in to the applicable account for qualifying activity to be recorded.
We may update earning activities, redemption values or program features prospectively. We will not remove an earned reward arbitrarily. We may adjust points associated with a cancelled, refunded or returned purchase, or points obtained through error, abuse or fraud. If the rewards program is discontinued, we will provide reasonable notice and instructions concerning eligible unused points or rewards where practicable.
Gift cards
Purchased Bichon Boutique gift cards can be used toward eligible purchases on our website. Purchased gift cards do not expire. They are not generally redeemable for cash except where required by law.
Please protect your gift-card code as you would cash. If a code is lost, disclosed or used without permission, contact us promptly. Replacement may be possible when you provide satisfactory proof of purchase and a remaining balance can be verified.
Reviews and other customer content
If you submit a review, photo, comment or other content to us, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe another person’s rights. Do not submit confidential information or content containing another person’s personal information without permission.
You retain ownership of your content. You grant Bichon Boutique a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, adapt and share the content for operating, improving and promoting our business and products. You may contact us to request that we stop using customer content in future marketing, although removal from materials already produced may not always be possible.
We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, unrelated to the product or otherwise inappropriate. We will not suppress an honest review merely because it is critical.
Our website content
The Bichon Boutique name, logo, graphics, photography, website design, written content and other materials owned by us are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may browse the website and print or save reasonable portions for your personal, non-commercial use. No other licence is granted without our written permission.
Brand names, product images and other materials belonging to our suppliers or partners remain the property of their respective owners.
Third-party services and links
Our website is hosted by Shopify and may offer third-party services, applications, payment options or links. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control, but this does not affect our responsibilities as the seller of products purchased directly from Bichon Boutique.
Website availability and information
We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may correct errors, perform maintenance, update content or change website features. If a website error materially affects an order, we will contact you and provide an appropriate correction, cancellation or refund option.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Bichon Boutique is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising solely from use of the website or a breach of these terms. Our total liability for a claim concerning a purchased product will not exceed the amount paid for the product, except where a different remedy or amount is required by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by negligence, or any warranty, condition, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in this section limits an obligation expressly stated in our Shipping or Refund Policy.
Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disaster, carrier disruption, labour interruption, government action, widespread network failure or supply-chain interruption. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the event and communicate material impacts on accepted orders.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to our business, website, services or legal obligations. The current version and update date will be posted on this page. Changes apply prospectively from the posted date; the terms in effect when an order was placed continue to govern that order unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Severability and waiver
If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. If we do not enforce a provision on one occasion, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your province or territory of residence.
